1950s Hattie Carnegie Collar Rhinestone Necklace

Beautifully made 1950s Hattie Carnegie collar rhinestone necklace. The necklace is made up of five rows of clear faceted rhinestones set into silver-tone metal. It measures 15 1/2" long x 7/8" wide and is signed, "Hattie Carnegie" on the back.

Hattie Carnegie (3/15/1886 – 2/22/1956) was a fashion entrepreneur based in New York City from the 1920s to the 1950s. Her designs are in the collections of museums including the Met and the Houston Museum of Fine Arts and were the subject of a 1996 exhibit at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.
