1970s Red Enamel Givenchy Earrings
1970s Givenchy red and gold enamel clip earrings. These earrings have a fun, sleek modernist look. There is wear to the finish on the backs of the earrings as can be seen in the photos but this is not noticeable when the earrings are being worn. They measures 7/8" long x 3/8" wide. The earrings are marked 'Givenchy Paris New York 1977' on the backs.
Givenchy started designing and producing couture jewelry in 1967. Many of the pieces incorporate the Givenchy logo within the design itself, sometimes on the clasp. Givenchy jewelry pieces are often statement pieces incorporating bold metals, enameling, faux pearls and rhinestones.
