These earrings are from Napier's 1955 series called the 'cumquat' series. The earrings each consist of a white cumquat bead made out of a resin called 'Moonglow' by Napier because of is luminous quality. Each earring is topped with a thick silver-tone curled metal tendril and measures 1 1/4" long. They are signed, 'Napier' on the backs of the clips.

This series is featured on page 310 of the book, 'The Napier Co.: Defining 20th Century American Costume Jewelry'. The description reads as follows: "During the Fall of 1955, Napier introduced the Cumquat group. This series had enormous success and became a best seller for the company. The primary design element consisted of a cumquat drop topped with a thick curled metal tendril. The necklace design consisted of three, tiered drops, and the bracelet was accentuated by two equidistant drops. The matching earrings came in two styles; the pendant and the stationary earring. The slightly elongated 'Moonglow' bead came in a large array of colors, including green, blue, tangerine, cherry red, brown magenta, lavender, pink and white."
