Large Givenchy Colorful Enamel Brooch 1980s

Large 1980s colorful Givenchy enamel brooch. This gold-tone brooch features an abstract design reminiscent of a Matisse. It is made up of purple, orange and green enamel and has a diameter of 2 1/2". It is signed on the back of the brooch. 

Givenchy started designing and producing couture jewelry in 1967. Many of the pieces incorporate the Givenchy logo within the design itself, sometimes on the clasp. Givenchy jewelry pieces are often statement pieces incorporating bold metals, enameling, faux pearls and rhinestones.
