Schreiner 1960s Large Yellow Flower Earrings

This is a pair of beautiful 1960s flower clip-on earrings by Schreiner New York. They have yellow glass petals and clear rhinestones. hey measure 1 1/2 inches in diameter and are signed 'Schreiner' on the backs of the clips. They are in excellent condition.

Harry Schreiner got his start in the 1940s by designing jewelry for Pauline Trigere, Norman Norell, and Christian Dior. In 1951 he founded his own firm. Schreiner’s signature was to reverse the setting of rhinestones (point side up instead of point side down). The pieces were never mass produced. Everything was made by hand. Schreiner produced some of the finest costume jewelry ever made and the pieces are highly sought after by collectors. Schreiner ceased operations in 1973.
