Hermes Gronland Eskimo Scarf by Philipe Ledoux in Box
This Hermes scarf is called, 'Gronland' or 'Greenland' and was designed by Philipe Ledoux. It was issued in 1982 and re-issued in 1992 and again in 2000. It is made out of a beautiful silk twill and measures 35" x 35". The scarf features scenes of eskimos harpooning, kayaking and mushing with sled dogs through the snow and comes in its original box. Excellent condition.
Philippe Ledoux is one of the most prolific artists in the Hermes pantheon, designing nearly 100 scarves for Hermes between the late 1940s until his death in the mid 1970s.
