1973 Castlecliff Orange Stone Pendant Necklace

Castlecliff pendant necklace designed in 1973 by the jewelry designer, Larry VRBA. The necklace is part of Castlecliff's 1973 'Mayan Collection'. It is made out of gold-tone metal and enamel and features a beautiful orange glass stone in the center. The pendant measures 4" long (including the bale) x 3" wide and is signed, 'Castlecliff' on the back. The chain is original to the piece and measures 16" long. Excellent condition.

About the Brand: Larry VRBA began his career in 1969 at the jewelry company, Miriam Haskell. In 1970, when Haskell’s Head Designer, Bob Clark, left to work at Castlecliff, VRBA followed. At Castlecliff, VRBA designed the famous Mayan collection, inspired by jewelry and adornments he saw on display at the Museum of Natural History in New York City.
