SWOBODA Jewelry dates from 1956 to 1985. The original owner and maker of this jewelry was Edward Swoboda, who worked for the company from 1956-1978. Swoboda was based in Los Angeles, California and known for it’s use of colorful polished semi-precious stones. Swoboda's brooches are similar in size to brooches found in fine jewelry, unlike many other vintage brooches which tend to be on a larger scale. Swoboda used a wide variety of stones including but not limited to amethyst, turquoise, coral, garnets, rubies, jade and pearls.
