1940s Joseff of Hollywood Aquarius Zodiac Brooch

Very collectible Aquarius (January 20 - February 18) zodiac sign brooch made by Joseff of Hollywood in the 1940s. It features a person pouring out an urn of water or a water bearer (the symbol for Aquarius) rendered in 3D. It measures 2 1/8" in diameter and is signed, 'Joseff' on the back. The brooch is in good vintage condition with some patina and wear to the finish - especially at the the top of the brooch as can be seen in the photos. This is indicative to the age of the brooch. Photo #3 is a 1940s advertisement of the brooches featured on page 148 of the book  'Jewelry to the Stars' by Joanne Dubbs Ball.
