1960s Coppola e Toppo Gray Ombre Crystal Clip Earrings

Coppola e Toppo 1960s faceted gray and clear crystal clip earrings. They feature Coppola e Toppo's signature ombre of color and measure 1" in diameter. The earrings are signed, "Made in Italy by Coppola e Toppo" on the back and the clips feature the signature Coppola e Toppo cut-out star on them. 

The company was formed in the late 1940′s by the brother and sister designer duo, Bruno Coppola and Lyda Toppo in Milan, Italy. After small commissions for Dior and Balenciaga, Elsa Schiaparelli commissioned a line of faux coral bead jewelry, which launched them to the top of the couture fashion echelon. Pucci and Valentino followed with more commissions. This allowed them to increase the number of their jewelry designs under their own Coppola e Toppo label.
