1960s Coppola e Toppo Gray Ombre Crystal Chandelier Clip Earrings

Fabulous 1960s Coppola e Toppo faceted gray and clear crystal chandelier clip earrings. They make quite the statement and feature Coppola e Toppo's signature ombre of color. The earrings measure 4" long x about 2" wide and are signed, "Made in Italy by Coppola e Toppo" on the back. The clips feature the signature Coppola e Toppo cut-out star on them. 

The company was formed in the late 1940′s by the brother and sister designer duo, Bruno Coppola and Lyda Toppo in Milan, Italy. After small commissions for Dior and Balenciaga, Elsa Schiaparelli commissioned a line of faux coral bead jewelry, which launched them to the top of the couture fashion echelon. Pucci and Valentino followed with more commissions. This allowed them to increase the number of their jewelry designs under their own Coppola e Toppo label.
