Wonderful, collectible 1960s Kenneth Jay Lane turquoise and white domed brooch. The brooch is made up of turquoise and white colored resin cabochons and clear rhinestones. It measures 1 7/8" in diameter and is 1 1/4" tall. It is marked, 'K.J.L.' on the back - the earliest mark used by Kenneth Jay Lane which dates it to the 1960s.

Kenneth Jay Lane was born in 1930 in Detroit, MI. He founded his costume jewelry firm in 1963. His designs were so popular that his initial collection at Saks Fifth Avenue sold out in one day. Lane’s jewelry has been worn by Diana Vreeland, Jacqueline Kennedy, Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, and Diana the Princess of Wales. One of Lane’s best known pieces is the three-strand imitation pearl necklace that was worn by Jacqueline Kennedy.
