1970s Gucci Jungle Scene Scarf by Accornero
Very collectible 1970s silk Gucci jungle scene scarf designed by Vittorio Accornero - an accomplished artist and illustrator of children's books who worked for Gucci from 1960-1981 and illustrated more than 80 silk scarves. Additionally the scarf features scenes showing a zebra, an eland, monkeys, snakes and ostrich standing amongst jungle foliage. It has a wide kelly green border surrounding the jungle scenes. The scarf measures 34” x 34” and has hand rolled hems. It is signed ‘Gucci’ in one corner and V. Accornero in the opposite corner.
