1970's Italian Magazine Clutch Purse Dated January 1977

1970's Linea Italiana Magazine (Italy) clutch purse. These clutch purses were popular in the late 1970s. This one is made out of a plastic resin and has an actual magazine cover laminated on the outside. It is made to look as though the wearer is  carrying a folded magazine instead of a clutch. On the edge of the purse it even mimics the look of magazine pages. On the bottom edge of the cover, "1977 Lucy's MFG. Co." is written - dating the bag to then. The clutch measures 12" long x 4 3/4" wide. It has a black leather strap that snaps around it to keep it closed. The interior is in very good condition and is fairly roomy inside. It can fit a cell phone. A similar Parisian 1970’s magazine clutch can be seen being carried by Carrie Bradshaw in Season 3, Episode 8 of Sex and the City (see photos).
