1970s Gucci Printed Mushroom Scarf Print Tie with Original Tags
Collectible 1970s Gucci silk tie with original tags. It has a brown border surrounding a mushroom print designed by the illustrator, Vittorio Accornero who also designed Gucci's signature Flora print. It measures 54 1/2" long and the widest part of the tie measures 4 1/2". The back of the tie has a Gucci tag sewn on to it (see photo #3). There is also an original paper tag which reads 'Gucci Made in Italy' on one side and '361 Funghi' on the other. Funghi means mushrooms. The tie is lined in a signature Gucci jacquard which has the word 'Gucci' as well as the Gucci shield woven into it. Excellent never worn condition with the exception of a small mark which can be seen in photo #6. **Please note that vintage ties measure a lot shorter than contemporary ties. This is because vintage trousers were worn higher than contemporary ones, people were shorter and shorter ties were in fashion. To see how much shorter these vintage ties were, you could measure a contemporary one and compare.
