1950s Trifari Faux Turquoise Beaded Necklace

1950s Trifari faux turquoise beaded necklace. This beautiful piece is made out of faux turquoise beads that have been molded into the shape of knotted balls of rope. The beads are made out of a plastic resin - a cutting edge material for the time that was aligned with the "Atomic Age" design aesthetic of optimism and innovation of the 1950s. The beads  are interspersed with small gold-tone metal beads. The necklace closes with a gold-tone clasp that is marked on the back with the Crown Trifari mark - a mark that was used from 1955-1969. The necklace measures five feet (60") long and can be worn in many different ways. It is in very good condition.
