1960s 'Les Amoureux' vase designed by Raymond Peynet for Rosenthal. The heart shaped porcelain vase features a man and a woman in an embrace on one side and a cupid on the other who fishing for a heart. The vase measures 3 1/2" tall x 3 3/4" wide and is in excellent condition. Raymond Peynet (16 November 1908 – 14 January 1999) was a French cartoonist. He is best known for having created "Les Amoureux" (The Lovers) characters in 1942 which he represented through a variety of mediums. Between 1955 and 1965 he collaborated with Rosenthal Porcelain to create porcelain designs, specifically the "Les Amoureux" series which this vasr is part of.
